Spring Performance Camp Information

Athletes will receive high-level instruction from the Queens University of Charlotte Sports Performance staff focusing on speed, agility and quickness development. These sessions are 1 hour in length that include a dynamic warm-up, cool down and drills focusing on the athletic qualities mentioned below.

Session I: Performance Testing - Movement Assessment
This first session will introduce movement screens to see where athletes might be vulnerable in their current movement patterns. Athletes will undergo an array of tests to determine where they are lacking mobility and will be provided stretches and exercises to help improve those weaknesses. This day will also include an introduction to agility and change of direction techniques that can be built upon in the following weeks.

Session II: Performance Testing - Speed, Agility, & Quickness
The second session will focus on drills and activities that will help athletes build quickness, acceleration, and change of direction. Proper mechanics and form will be highlighted during drills and will include tests that challenge the athletes in what they have learned throughout the session.

Session III: Performance Testing - Building Athlete Force & Power Profile
The third session will place an emphasis on producing maximal force in athletic movements. Drills will include various types of medicine ball throws as well as proper jump and landing mechanics. These drills will take place within our weight room and will include an introduction in basic form for main lifts seen throughout college training programs.

Session IV: Performance Testing - Max Aerobic Speed
The final session will conclude with aerobic speed work. More specifically, this session will include a testing protocol that will give athletes specific data that will aid in establishing a strong aerobic base. Also, this session will include continual emphasis on drills that require speed, agility, and quickness. Lastly, at the end of this session each athlete will receive their own athlete profile with data collected throughout each of the previous training sessions.

**Athlete will receive a “player profile packet” with all measureables upon completion of session IV

Session III: March 18th, 2018 (10am - 11am)
Session IV: March 25th, 2018 (9am - 10am)
**All times are based on the availability of the Sports Complex Field Turf & Weight Room**

Camp is open to all athletes, aged 12 through 18 years old
Cost
One (1) Session - $50*
Two (2) Sessions - $90*
Three (3) Sessions - $125*
Four (4) Sessions - $150*
*Final price will include a small online convenience fee
